There are no right or wrong postures when it comes to taking pictures. One could argue right or wrong compositions, but postures never. The picture above is of a friend of mine named Osamu Fukumoto, he’s a photographer based in Japan. We were traveling across the country of France and boy were we trying to find as many interesting pictures as we could. Most of us back then were new too photography, we were learning as we went, experimenting. It was a great way to explore the world through the lens of a camera.

Looking back now, it made me wonder. What lengths do photographers go to these days to get the picture they want. And I found these interesting pictures and felt I should share them with you.

What do you reckon she’s taking a picture of? Perhaps the reflection of a building, the sky? I guess we will never know. But if you guys have ideas or have done similar actions, please do let me know by sending me a note here It will be interesting to share your experiences with other readers in another blog post.

Here’s another interesting one, I wonder where he got this idea from? What do you reckon he was thinking? That imitating a bird would let him get better pictures of other birds? nevertheless, one must admire the effort. Don’t you think so?

The next one is particularly interesting, it shows true dedication. Macro photography is a skill of its own, it takes guts to take your camera into a lake to shoot a picture of a frog on a leaf!

Sometimes, it’s just overkill, I mean seriously what are these guys trying to prove. With flashes in daylight no less? Let me know if you agree?

And yet, of the four that we have seen, the most genuine photographer is one who simply composes the shot and takes the picture. Are we not all from these humble beginnings?
